I admit it has been a while since the following events have happened and I deeply apologize for not uploading this post on time.

I don't just love whatever comes out of Lebanon, but I ADORE whatever campaign allows the people  to unite and participate in together for something they all believe in. I am sure, my readers, you have all heard of the Lebanese Olympian Jackie Chamoun's photoshoot that went VIRAL  a few months back. No one really cared about it until our Youth and Sports Minister called for an investigation and made a huge deal of something she did for her own self, IN ADDITION, it was FOUR years ago !!!

With everything going on in Lebanon, that just makes no sense. Right?!

The #StripForJackie campaign  went viral, it was a campaign done where people take pictures of themselves naked but covering a body part and saying "I'm not naked, I am a...." this was a public campaign where people actually took pictures of themselves and sent it to IAmNotNakedFacebookpage who would then alter the picture making them all seem the same.
After the campaign grabbed everybody's attention, brands started using the hash tag to their own advantage. That was a smart way for them to show support to Jackie, also with what Lebanon is going through it was smart of them to show that will always be on the public's side.
Below are the pictures

One of the reasons I love Coca-Cola ad's so much is because they promote happiness. I ran into a website the other day and decided to take on the challenge.
100happydays.com/

Just a simple website promoting happiness !
Can you be happy for 100 days straight?

With that being said, doesn't Pharrell William's songg Happy play in your mind?

Anyways I decided to take on the challenge, and I'm posting pictures everyday on my twitter account! so if you want to follow up on why I'm happy and thankful everyday follow me on twitter @SandraElAtrach

In the world we live in today we ignore the that little things that can make us smile everyday.

So just be happy and thankful =]
Apologies for not posting, I'm very busy with my university studies & projects

After watching a couple of Superbowl commercials I can say that I have found two that I am completely IN LOVE WITH !!!

The first one I would like to share is Microsoft.
As you all may know we live in an everyday changing world and that is due to the technological innovations we or others create. Some are always updated with the newest gadgets in stores and some aren't that's just how the world functions and works.
So what is technology and where will we stop? answer to both questions is infinite and unknown.

I guess everyone would agree that technology has been used for good causes, with the use of technology we are creating a happier, and better life for people especially for those in need. I am sure that my parents never thought that a handicapped person can ever be able to drive, or a blind person would be able to use a computer just as normally as a regular one, but they are !

Microsoft's ad really touched my heart and affected me, because it made me realize how vast the category of technology is. It's not just gadgets that have to do with sports, phones, music it's becoming educations, helping families come together and so on.

I hope you liked it as much as I did,
Love,
Sandra
We all are familiar with the Doritos chips.
Another Superbowl commercial that I really liked was the Doritos, mainly because it is funny and this kind of humor would actually make everybody laugh and not just a small sector of people. [In advertising we learn that it is really critical to make a joke, or use humor mainly because some people might get offended, and not like it; HOWEVER Doritos did it ! YAAAYY ]

Doritos launched two commercials during the Superbowl but the second one is my favorite !

The first one :

& my favorite :

Tell me which one did you like more,
and if there are any more ad's you liked from the Superbowl let me know :)

We, as humans, always long for the feeling of hope. Hope in anything , whether it is a cure, in love, in a solution of a problem, it is just a part of us to always have and want hope.

What's better than the feeling of helping out others, or being there for the ones you love, or participating in something you may not help or make a HUGE difference in but just participating and knowing that you're there present in that time and place makes you feel like you did a difference.

Every year every since I was 12 I have participated in the Terry Fox Run. For those of you who do not know about the Terry Fox Run, or Terry Fox himself here is the story:
Terry Fox was a Canadian athlete who was diagnosed with Cancer in his knew and was told that he had only 50% chance of survival. So he got an artificial leg and started walking again.
That was when the Marathon of Hope started where he ran to raise money for cancer research.
He wanted to run the length of Canada just to raise awareness, even though he had intense pain, bruises, and blisters he still did it. Despite his treatments Fox passed away in 1981 where his funeral was broadcasted across Canada and that is how he became a legacy.
The man who ran Canada.

What amazes me is not only his story but the event itself is held every year, and every year I do not see one single advertisement, not a commercial about when it will be held. The only thing that is done to raise awareness and let the people know of the event is that the newspapers write about it.
That is it. That is how everybody knows, that is how their calendars is booked and everything is set.

Nothing is better than running for a good cause,

Sandra

When did we stop thinking that we are beautiful ?

One of the strongest statements just put in one commercial. Dove has done it again and again ! and as a brand it will continue to do it, because the older we grow the bigger our perception of our "faults" grow.
Isn't that just sad?
That just breaks my heart to how true it is.

Every brand targetting women has tried to give an image that it can 'fix you', make you look better but no brand other than Dove said ' Wait a minute look at yourself ! LOVE yourself, because you are beautiful'

Every campaign Dove launches is stronger than the previous one, and that is something they deserve a round of an applause for

Notice how real the videos captured are, they are REAL WOMEN !
Also a very amazing twist came in the video when the 'older' women don't want to have the camera on their faces while the children are not camera shy and are just too cute, and too beautiful  to be true

Please take care of yourself,
As a woman you are beautiful inside out !
Believe it
no matter who you are and where you came from, DO NO let anyone tell you otherwise.

Love,
Sandra
