Double E's

on Monday 19 August 2013
I am a very proud citizen of the United Arab Emirates, not because it's a developing country or of its grand successes locally and internationally but also because the UAE is growing its own media sector and firms in ways success couldn't imagine. Everything is happening everywhere and it is HUGE.

Let's look at the airline business today.

I'm sure you are familiar with Emirates newest slogan 'Hello Tomorrow'. They used all kinds of media selection, such as radio stations, billboards, commercials and ads basically everything. "Hello Tomorrow" is all about inspiring people to go and experience places not only that but gives off a whole new image about Emirates Airlines for in their ad's you can see that they are showing you change, they show that in this developing world they are also developing and connecting people, and cultures. The time is now, and "Hello Tomorrow" says it all.

Being one of the world's fastest growing
airlines today, Emirates launched its
"Share a Smile" campaign. The airline
created 29 videos in 14 languages.
The campaign is all about sharing
unusual expressions with the world.
The videos can be shared with friends
and family to bring smiles on their faces.
Not only that there is also a out-takes video
showing how much fun the crew
had making these videos. This is just
another successful way for Emirates to
connect with their consumers making a
real relationship and starting
it with a smile.

At first, I had difficulty understanding
what is
going on in the video, but then I
understood that the expression
written is what the host is
speaking in their own language then
translating it for everyone to understand.

Moving to another grand airline born in the UAE, Etihad Airways.
Etihad launched its biggest television advertising campaign this February marking their newest slogan "The World is Our Home, You are Our Guest".
Their ad didn't only run on television but I know that everyone living in the UAE must have seen and looked at their HUGE billboard ad. Every time I pass by it in Abu Dhabi I can't help but stare at this creativity. No. It's not only creative it's a real masterpiece. Etihad really reflected their vision, their work progress in a short statement, that made a huge impact.

If you are a UAE citizen you will notice that in their ad, some of the main sites the air hostesses show in are in the UAE. In my opinion, that was a smart move by Etihad, making it clear that no matter what where the airline was born will never be forgotten and always be thankful.

Hope you had fun reading about this, as I did researching about it.
Dream of beautiful things :)
